Respecting copyright

VoteHer respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects users to do the same. If you believe content on VoteHer infringes a copyright you own or control, you can send us a notice and we will review it. We may remove or restrict the reported content while the matter is under review, and we will notify the affected user.

Filing a notice of infringement

To be actionable, your notice must include all of the following:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (or a representative list, if multiple works).
  2. The exact URL(s) of the material on VoteHer you are asking us to remove or disable, in enough detail for us to locate it.
  3. The basis for your claim — a description of how the material infringes your rights.
  4. Your contact information — name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A good-faith statement that you believe use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf, together with your physical or electronic signature.

The fastest way to submit a notice is the rights request flow — choose “Copyright / DMCA notice” and include the elements above in the details field.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed or disabled and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. It must include: identification of the material and its location before removal; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; your name, address, and telephone number; a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court; and your physical or electronic signature. We may restore the content if we do not receive notice that the complaining party has filed an action seeking a court order, subject to applicable law.

Repeat infringers

We may, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, restrict or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

Designated copyright agent

Notices may also be sent to our designated agent for copyright claims:
